CNR and Energie Rhône Vallée inaugurate the Lavilledieu photovoltaic park

The Lavilledieu photovoltaic park, with an installed capacity of 5 MWp, was inaugurated on April 19, 2023. This facility will produce 7.5 gigawatt hours (GWh) of renewable electricity annually, demonstrating CNR and Energie Rhône Vallée's commitment to the region's energy transition.

The Lavilledieu photovoltaic park, the result of a partnership between the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône(CNR) and the local semi-public company (SEML) Energie Rhône Vallée, was inaugurated on 19 April 2023. Located in a business park in the northwest of the town, 10 kilometers from Aubenas, this 10-hectare park is composed of 10,290 solar panels and was commissioned in December 2022.

A long-standing project: the construction of the Lavilledieu photovoltaic park

With an installed capacity of 5 MWp, this park has the capacity to produce 7.5 gigawatt hours (GWh) of renewable electricity annually, which is the equivalent of the electricity consumption of 2900 inhabitants including heating. The construction of this park began in September 2021 for an investment of 4.8 million euros, carried out in an investment partnership between CNR (64.7%) and SEM Energie Rhône Vallée (35.3%), already a partner of CNR for the construction of the park photovoltaic of Erôme-Gervans (26), which will be commissioned in February 2021.

The Lavilledieu photovoltaic park was named a winner in the Commission de régulation de l’énergie (CRE) call for tenders in February 2019, and is located on land owned by the Syndicat Départemental d’Energie de l’Ardèche (SDEA). Its commissioning in December 2022 represents the completion of a project initiated several years ago.

This inauguration took place in the presence of the mayor of the commune, the sub-prefect of the department and several elected officials of the Ardèche region, testifying to the importance of this project for the region. With this new photovoltaic park, CNR and Energie Rhône Vallée are continuing their commitment to accelerating the deployment of solar energy in the Ardèche and Rhône Valley.

The inauguration of the Lavilledieu photovoltaic park marks an important step in the region’s energy transition. This project, the result of a partnership between CNR and SEM Energie Rhône Vallée, will contribute to the production of renewable electricity and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
