Nordex Group has secured an order from Max Bögl for the supply and installation of six N163/6.X wind turbines at the Peckelsheim community wind farm in North Rhine-Westphalia. The machines will be mounted on 164-meter-high concrete-steel hybrid towers. The contract also includes a 20-year service agreement, which Nordex says is designed to ensure long-term turbine availability and performance. As the wind sector expands its industrial footprint globally, with projects such as Hai Long assembling nacelles locally in Taiwan, Nordex and Max Bögl are building on an integrated industrial partnership.

Commissioning scheduled for 2027

Installation of the first turbine is scheduled to begin in spring 2027. Full commissioning of the wind farm is also planned for the same year. The site is located near Willebadessen, in the eastern part of the Höxter district. The rural region, characterized by open arable land and grassland, offers what Nordex describes as favorable topographical conditions for wind energy use.

Max Bögl as both supplier and operator

Max Bögl has been a long-standing partner of Nordex Group in Germany, regularly supplying concrete towers for wind farms using concrete-steel hybrid tower technology. For Peckelsheim, the partnership takes on an additional dimension: Max Bögl is acting simultaneously as a tower supplier and as the wind farm developer and operator. This dual role underscores the depth and versatility of the commercial relationship between the two groups in the German wind market. This combination of supply chain actor and asset owner in a single entity is uncommon in the sector and reinforces the industrial coherence of the project.
