The French state significantly increased its support for industrial decarbonization between 2020 and 2024, under the recovery plan and subsequently France 2030. The selected programs, targeting exclusively investment in low-carbon technologies at industrial sites, represent a total envelope of €3.4 billion. The Court of Accounts, which conducted the evaluation, aims to shed light on the initial effects of these programs and their coordination with other levers of industrial transition. Industrial decarbonization support programs under France 2030 are taking place in a context of increasing pressure on national climate targets.
