Neoen wins 164 MWp of solar projects in France, strengthening its energy leadership

Neoen has secured 7 solar and agrivoltaic projects totaling 164 MWp as part of France's PPE2 tenders. These new installations will bring its secured capacity to over 2.5 GW, consolidating its leadership in the sector.

Neoen, a leading producer of renewable energy, announced the award of 164 MWp of solar and agrivoltaic projects following the latest tenders from the Energy Regulation Commission (CRE) in France. With these seven new installations, Neoen remains the leader in the ground-mounted photovoltaic category of the PPE2 program, now totaling 642 MWp won.

These projects, located in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Centre-Val de Loire, Grand Est, Hauts-de-France, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and Occitanie regions, will be commissioned progressively between 2026 and 2032. The largest project, Tourneuve (73 MWp), will depend on the completion of significant grid connection work by the national operator.

A Collaborative and Innovative Model

The success of these projects is part of a collaborative strategy involving local authorities, communities, and regional stakeholders. This close dialogue ensures increased acceptance by local communities while meeting national environmental and energy objectives. Among the awarded projects, four are agrivoltaic, combining clean energy production with agricultural activities. This innovative approach reflects Neoen’s expertise and its commitment to developing sustainable energy solutions in partnership with agricultural specialists.

Guillaume Decaen, Neoen’s Director of Business Development in France, emphasized the importance of these collaborations: “We sincerely thank our local partners and farmers for their support and trust. These successes illustrate our ability to deliver virtuous projects contributing to the energy transition.”

A Renewed Ambition for 2024

With nearly 500 MW of solar and wind capacity awarded in 2023, Neoen achieved record results and plans to continue this momentum next year. The company has a diversified project portfolio in France, reaching over 2.5 GW of secured capacity in solar, wind, and storage. This dynamic reinforces its leadership position and its pivotal role in the global energy transition.
