Aker Solutions ASA has entered into a maintenance and modification (M&M) offshore contract with ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS, covering an initial six-year period starting in January 2027. The agreement includes two additional three-year extension options. The contract applies to the Eldfisk and Ekofisk installations in the North Sea, where Aker Solutions is already an established provider of M&M services.
A major portfolio in the North Sea
The Eldfisk and Ekofisk fields represent one of the largest offshore maintenance and modification portfolios for the Norwegian company. The contract’s value will depend on the actual volume of work performed during the period, but Aker Solutions categorises it as “substantial”, equivalent to between NOK2.5bn and NOK4bn ($229mn to $366mn). The agreement will be recorded in the company’s order intake for the fourth quarter of 2025 under its Life Cycle segment.
Resources mobilised in Norway
Work will be managed from the Stavanger office, with prefabrication carried out at the Egersund yard. The agreement will also provide employment for offshore staff in connection with ongoing operations on the two fields. Aker Solutions has stated that the global offshore industry requires standardised solutions executed with speed and precision.
Extended partnership with ConocoPhillips
The collaboration between the two companies in this region continues a strategic partnership. ConocoPhillips has previously outsourced similar services to Aker Solutions over the years, reinforcing a long-standing cooperation on assets across the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The continuation of this relationship, according to the company, reflects the consistent execution quality delivered by its life cycle teams.
