VALEMO, a company recognised in the operation and maintenance of renewable energy infrastructure, has signed an agreement to supervise all installations at the Yeu-Noirmoutier offshore wind farm. The contract covers remote and continuous management of equipment, including the offshore electrical substation, all wind turbines, and Balance of Plant (BOP) systems. This project involves several leading industrial partners and positions VALEMO as the operator responsible for the daily operational monitoring of the installations.
A supervision centre in Nouvelle-Aquitaine
From its control centre in Bègles, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, VALEMO will oversee alert management, incident handling, and direct communication with the Réseau de Transport d’Électricité (RTE). The company will also be responsible for the transmission of regulatory data and production forecasts. This organisation aims to meet the technical performance and reliability expectations required for operating the offshore wind farm, where constant surveillance is essential.
Strengthening expertise on offshore substations
The contract obtained by VALEMO follows its previous assignments in the offshore sector, notably on the St-Nazaire, Fécamp, and Courseulles electrical substations (OSS). The company has already contributed to the supervision of the Yeu-Noirmoutier substation during its installation at sea, demonstrating its ability to support the deployment and operation of the latest infrastructure in the offshore wind sector.
