Vestas was selected by Inch Cape Offshore Limited, a joint venture between Red Rock Power Limited and ESB. It is the preferred supplier of wind turbines for the Inch Cape offshore wind farm. The project is located in Scotland and has a capacity of 1.1 GW.
Vestas involved in Inch Cape
The project is located 15 km off the coast of Angus, in the east of Scotland. It will comprise 72 V236-15.0 MW turbines. In addition, the agreement provides for a 15-year O&M contract.

A spokesperson for the Inch Cape project says he is proud of the project’s progress. It has reached a milestone in its development. In addition, Inch Cape will become the largest single source of renewable energy in Scotland. The project will benefit from Vestas’ experience.
If and when the agreement with Inch Cape becomes a firm order for the company, Vestas will disclose the order in a company announcement in accordance with the company’s disclosure policy.
