Sunsure Energy has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. to supply solar electricity to its production site in Sahibabad, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This long-term partnership will allow Bisleri to meet 48% of its electricity needs using renewable sources.
Solar supply from the Erach facility
The electricity will be sourced from an 82.5 MWp solar plant located in Erach, also in Uttar Pradesh. The facility is owned by Sunsure Energy, an independent renewable power producer developing open access electricity solutions for industrial clients. The power generated will be delivered through the public grid to Bisleri’s Sahibabad site.
Focus on cost stability and supply reliability
Under the agreement, Sunsure commits to delivering a steady supply of solar power over the long term, offering Bisleri more stable energy pricing and a direct reduction in reliance on conventional grid electricity. By shifting a significant share of its energy use to solar, Bisleri expects to avoid nearly 2,700 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
Part of Sunsure’s regional expansion strategy
This deal forms part of Sunsure’s “UP Shakti” regional initiative, aimed at boosting renewable energy output in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Sunsure recently commissioned its tenth solar plant in the region, raising its total operational open access capacity there to over 260 MWp. The power generated serves industries across sectors including consumer goods, data centres, ceramics and metals.
