Arevon begins construction of the 192-megawatt (MW) Ratts 1 solar project in Pike County, Indiana.
This development is part of a strategy to strengthen the state’s energy infrastructure, with the aim of increasing solar energy production in a key region for the sector.
The project is designed to provide electricity to around 24,000 homes, marking a significant step forward in Indiana’s renewable energy supply.
This project joins the 73 MW Heirloom project, also under development nearby.
The two initiatives combined represent a total investment of nearly $400 million, with significant economic implications for local communities, notably in terms of job creation and revenue for local governments.

Economic and industrial impact

The Ratts 1 project is generating immediate economic activity in the region, with the creation of 200 full-time jobs during the construction phase.
Local businesses are also benefiting, with increased spending in the retail, restaurant and hotel sectors.
These projects not only strengthen the local economy, they also help to diversify income sources for landowners by integrating solar installations on their land.
At the inauguration ceremony, speakers emphasized the importance of these developments for the local economy and Indiana’s energy supply. This project is part of a series of initiatives aimed at consolidating the State’s position in the renewable energies sector.

Arevon continues its development strategy in Indiana with the implementation of the $352 million Posey solar project, which is already under construction.
This project, like the others under development, is part of a larger plan to increase solar power generation capacity in the state, while bringing economic benefits to local communities.
Diversifying energy supplies is a priority for Indiana, and these solar projects make a significant contribution.
Arevon plans to announce the launch of another major project in the state in the near future, confirming its commitment to continued development in the region.
