In Poland, the German group Nordex will supply turbines to the VSB group for a 41.6MW wind farm in Silesia.

An order for 13 turbines

In Poland, Nordex will supply and install a wind farm powered by 13 N117/3600 turbines. The order also includes Premium service for the turbines covering a period of 20 years. The Nordex Group will supply the turbines on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 134 meters.

The turbines will be operated with a nominal power of 3.2MW. Turbine installation is expected to begin in early 2024 with commissioning to follow in the summer. From 2021, the VSB Group placed an order with the Nordex Group for the supply of turbines for the 42.6MW wind farm in Baranów-Rychtal.

This is the first Polish project developed by the international operator itself. Baranów-Rychtal is currently under construction. VSB is headquartered in Dresden and is one of the leading integrated suppliers in the field of renewable energies.

A multi-sectoral presence

Its main activity is the development and operation of onshore wind and photovoltaic projects. VSB is also a growing independent power producer. VSB is represented in nine countries and has a pipeline of over 10GW.

So far, since 1996, more than 700 wind and photovoltaic systems have been installed. This represents an installed capacity of approximately 1.1GW. VSB also provides services for a total of approximately 1.4GW.

The group is installing more than 41GW of wind power capacity in over 40 markets. He realizes in 2021 a turnover of €5.4 billion. The joint manufacturing capability includes plants in Germany, Spain, Brazil, the United States, India and Mexico.
