TotalEnergies expands its partnership with LyondellBasell, a leader in the chemical industry, through two long-term Renewable Power Purchase Agreements (RPPAs). These agreements, centered on the supply of green electricity from the Cottonwood Bayou and Brazoria solar farms in Texas, illustrate a significant step forward in the energy transition.
TotalEnergies signs a second CPPA contract with LyondellBasell. This partnership is marked by the supply of a combined capacity of 275 MWac (358 MW) of green electricity from the Cottonwood Bayou and Brazoria solar farms. These agreements demonstrate both companies’ commitment to cleaner, more sustainable energy.

Impact on Energy Strategy

The CPPAs, including a 15-year term for the Brazoria farm and a 12-year term for Cottonwood Bayou, mark an important step in LyondellBasell’s decarbonization strategy.
