The project, located in Agar, Madhya Pradesh, includes 26 wind turbines of 3.15 MW each, supplying electricity to industrial customers under a captive model.

A strategic project for the industrial sector

The contract with Oyster Green Hybrid One Private Limited represents an important milestone for Suzlon in India. The project involves the installation of 26 wind turbines with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each. These wind turbines, from Suzlon’s 3 MW product range, will be installed on hybrid tubular lattice towers (HLTs). The electricity generated will be specifically targeted at commercial and industrial (C&I) customers in India.
Choosing a captive model enables these companies to secure a reliable and sustainable source of energy, thus contributing to their sustainable development objectives. The project is expected to provide electricity to around 67,000 homes and reduce CO2 emissions by almost 266,000 tonnes a year.

Technology and innovation at the heart of the project

Suzlon, based in India and known for its advanced technological solutions, will not only supply the wind turbines, but will also take charge of the complete execution of the project, including erection and commissioning. The company will also provide maintenance and operating services after commissioning, guaranteeing optimum plant performance. Suzlon wind turbines use DFIG (Doubly Fed Induction Generator) technology, effectively integrating wind turbines into the utility grid to meet grid requirements. Suzlon’s R&D efforts are constantly focused on improving turbine performance, harnessing more energy from low-wind sites and reducing energy costs.

Commitment to green energy and local manufacturing

Vivek Srivastava, CEO of Suzlon Group, emphasized the importance of this partnership with Oyster Green Hybrid One Private Limited, highlighting the trust placed in Suzlon’s technologies and service solutions. Srivastava also reiterated Suzlon’s commitment to the “Make in India” and “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” mission, contributing to a greener world by manufacturing every Suzlon turbine locally.

The collaboration with Suzlon will enable Oyster to expand access to renewable energy in India, with a focus on sustainability.
