DenkerWulf commissions Nordex to install 25 wind turbines for 123 MW in Germany

German manufacturer Nordex has signed three orders with DenkerWulf for 25 onshore wind turbines, with a total capacity of 122.7 MW to be installed between 2027 and 2028 in northern Germany.

The Nordex Group has secured a new contract with DenkerWulf, one of Germany’s leading onshore wind farm developers, for the supply and maintenance of 25 turbines across three projects located in Schleswig-Holstein. The combined capacity will reach 122.7 megawatts (MW), with installations scheduled to begin in 2027 and full commissioning by 2028.

Projects concentrated in northern Germany

The agreement includes the installation of three N149/5.X turbines at the Galmsbüll Bahrenhof wind farm, 18 N133/4800 turbines at the Galmsbüll Park wind farm, and four additional N133/4800 turbines at Padenstedt. The hub heights of the turbines vary by site: between 105 and 110 metres at the two Galmsbüll projects near the North Sea coast, and up to 125 metres inland at Padenstedt.

The contract also includes a premium 20-year service agreement covering all turbines after commissioning. This full-service model is a key element to ensure long-term availability and performance of the machines.

Strengthened partnership between the two companies

This new order reinforces the cooperation between Nordex and DenkerWulf, which has already led to the commissioning of more than 500 MW in Germany. DenkerWulf specifically highlighted the efficiency of the repowering process at Galmsbüll, a site historically exposed to favourable wind conditions and supported by close collaboration with the local community.

The year 2025 marks a significant milestone for Nordex, with nearly 144 MW of orders recorded in the German market alone. The Galmsbüll project, with its 18 turbines, is among the largest currently underway in the country. The N133/4800 turbines, designed to harness strong wind resources with moderate hub heights, were selected to meet the technical requirements of these sites.
