Solaria Energía y Medio Ambiente S.A. has finalised a ten-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Trafigura Group Pte Ltd for a total volume of 1 terawatt-hour (TWh). The agreement covers the supply of energy from a 50 megawatt (MW) solar power plant integrated into the 626 MW Cifuentes-Trillo complex, located in Guadalajara, Spain.
A strategic partnership between two major players
The output from this facility is sufficient to power over 300,000 homes per year, according to data provided by both companies. The Cifuentes-Trillo photovoltaic complex is one of Solaria’s most significant projects, currently expanding its energy portfolio in Spain to meet the growing demand for decarbonised solutions in the commodities sector.
Trafigura Group Pte Ltd, one of the world’s leading commodities trading groups, is expanding its portfolio of energy supply agreements by integrating different PPA structures to offer tailored products to its clients. This initiative is part of a strategy aimed at securing reliable energy sources over the long term.
