The other contracting party remains unknown but operates in a dozen countries representing a total capacity of 1.7GW. According to the agreement, in Resko, the work must be completed before the end of the first half of 2023. The connection to the electrical network will take place during the second quarter of 2023.

Any delays will be subject to the traditional compensation for loss of income. Econergy is setting up in Poland but wants to expand and deepen its development activities. In addition, the company is currently developing 41 photovoltaic projects in the country with a total capacity of 940MW.

Decarbonizing Poland

Its activity in Poland will increase significantly in 2022 by about 63%. Poland has put in place a strategic energy policy plan for 2040. With Resko, Poland wants to increase the share of renewable energy to 23% in 2030, it currently represents 9GW.

The country aims to reach 17GW by 2030. Thus, this forecast is higher than the target set by the European Union of 7.3 GW of solar installations in 2030. In addition, Poland wants to move away from coal for electricity production.

Currently, 56% of Poland’s electricity production depends on coal. In 2021, the country will have 13% of its electricity from renewable energy sources. In addition, Econergy has a local development team.
