ORLEN Group has selected OX2 to manage the Ujazd (15 turbines), Dobrzyca (19 turbines) and Wielkopolska (15 turbines) wind farms. This integrated management by OX2 is designed to maximize the operational and financial performance of the facilities. The three parks were acquired by ORLEN Group in 2023, marking an important step in their strategy to develop renewable energies in Poland. OX2 will bring its expertise in asset management, which includes technical maintenance, commercial supervision and financial management. By focusing on these three aspects, OX2 aims to optimize energy production and maximize revenues generated by wind farms. This rigorous, integrated management will enable ORLEN Group to improve the overall performance of its wind power assets and strengthen its position in the Polish renewable energy market.

Perspectives and objectives

OX2’s management of the Polish wind farms is part of a broader strategy to enhance the efficiency of ORLEN Group’s assets. Lars Bryngelsson, Head of Technical and Commercial Management at OX2, commented: “We are delighted to be working with ORLEN Group to optimize the management of these wind farms. As one of Europe’s largest renewable asset managers, we always offer a personalized service to our customers, focusing on optimizing asset value. The collaboration between ORLEN Group and OX2 underlines the importance of specialized asset management in maximizing the return on investments in renewable energies.

Operational Performance Optimization

OX2’s management of wind farms involves a series of measures aimed at optimizing operational performance. This includes preventive and corrective turbine maintenance, continuous performance monitoring and data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement. OX2 will use advanced technologies to monitor wind farms in real time, enabling rapid detection of problems and effective intervention. In addition, OX2 will provide ORLEN Group with regular reports on the performance of the wind farms, including detailed financial analyses and recommendations for maximizing revenues. This proactive, data-driven approach will help ORLEN Group make informed decisions about the operation of its wind power assets.

Impact on the Renewable Energy Market in Poland

The partnership between ORLEN Group and OX2 is significant for the Polish renewable energy market. By entrusting the management of its wind farms to a recognized expert like OX2, ORLEN Group demonstrates its commitment to optimizing its investments in renewable energies. This initiative could encourage other market players to adopt similar practices, thus contributing to the professionalization of the sector.
