NG Energy International Corp. along with its partners INFRAES and Kronos, has just completed the commissioning of a 28.3 km pipeline linking Jobo to the Brujo central processing plant (CPF). This infrastructure, located on the Sinu-9 concession, is a strategic element in the transportation of natural gas in Colombia, responding to growing market demand. The commissioning of this pipeline is the result of intensive work carried out over a period of nine months, involving complex stages such as engineering, construction and obtaining the necessary permits. The pipeline is designed to ensure efficient distribution of the natural gas extracted from Sinu-9, reducing the country’s dependence on imports and consolidating national energy security. The Sinu-9 project, in its first phase, represents a substantial addition to the existing transmission network, aimed at stabilizing energy supply to meet industrial and domestic needs.

Rapid progress and future prospects

Over the past few weeks, NG Energy and its partners have finalized a number of key milestones, including the completion of the Brujo-1x well and the installation of critical equipment such as a processing plant and compressors.
These advances have made it possible to initiate pipeline commissioning tests with natural gas.
Production ramp-up is scheduled to begin in September, with progress towards full operational capacity by the end of the month.
Once fully operational, the pipeline will contribute to meeting 4% of Colombia’s natural gas needs.
NG Energy’s approach is characterized by close coordination between its various partners and subcontractors, guaranteeing safety and efficiency throughout implementation.
Construction and testing were carried out to exacting standards, ensuring a smooth transition to commercial production.

Strengthening operational capabilities

In parallel with these developments, NG Energy has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Leonardo Chávez as Vice President Operations.
Chávez, with his 23 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, brings in-depth operational expertise, having held senior positions at Bond Energy Solutions and Schlumberger.
His arrival coincides with the launch of Phase 2 of Sinu-9, which will aim to optimize existing facilities and explore new production opportunities, particularly at the Maria Conchita site.
Chávez’s experience in Latin America, combined with his knowledge of energy markets, is an asset for NG Energy as the company prepares to increase production and optimize operations.
The company’s strategy revolves around the continuous improvement of its infrastructure and increasing its market share in the Colombian gas sector.
