Baker Hughes, a company specializing in energy technologies, has secured an order from Tecnicas Reunidas to supply six gas compression trains and six propane compressors, essential components for the third expansion phase of the Jafurah gas field, the largest unconventional gas field in Saudi Arabia. The order, placed in Q4 2024, also includes associated installations and auxiliary equipment.

Contract Details

The order focuses on electrically motor-driven compression solutions, designed to enhance gas production efficiency. Tecnicas Reunidas ensures technical coordination and compliance with Aramco’s specific requirements for this large-scale project.
Baker Hughes thus reinforces its longstanding collaboration with Aramco, already established through the supply of equipment for the Haradh and Hawiyah sites and the first phase of the Jafurah field. This contract confirms the company’s commitment to technological innovation to meet the challenges of the gas market.

Technologies and Partnerships

The expansion of its center in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, enables Baker Hughes to offer solutions tailored to the site’s demands. The integration of modern compressors and balance of plants (the ensemble of ancillary installations) optimizes on-site operations.
The deployed technologies ensure reliable and efficient production, thereby supporting Aramco’s vision for the Kingdom’s energy development. The order, confirmed in Q4 2024, demonstrates Baker Hughes’ ability to meet the technical needs of an ever-evolving market.
