ERG strengthens its solar presence in Spain

ERG's acquisition of the Garnacha solar park marks a significant strategic expansion in Spain, enriching the European energy landscape.

The Garnacha solar park, recently added to ERG’s portfolio, boasts a capacity of 149 MWp and advanced technology. It is currently in its final commissioning phase, having already generated around 15 GWh.

Technological and Environmental Innovation

Garnacha is equipped with bifacial panels and a solar tracking system, optimizing its energy efficiency. With a load factor of 22% and an estimated annual output of 280 GWh, the park will make a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions.

Impact of PPA and Investment Outlook

A 12-year PPA guarantees the sale of 70% of the electricity generated, reflecting market confidence in this type of project. ERG’s future investment plans in Spain indicate a strong commitment to the renewable energy sector.

ERG has made a major transition in its business model, from an oil-focused company to a leader in renewable energy production. Its presence in several European countries and its recent investment in the Garnacha park testify to its dynamic strategy and commitment to sustainability.
