Boviet Solar Technology Co. Ltd. strengthened its industrial presence in the United States in 2025 with the launch of two manufacturing facilities in North Carolina. These projects represent a total investment of $400mn and are part of a vertical integration strategy aimed at consolidating the local supply chain and meeting the growing demand in the American photovoltaic market.

A 6 GW manufacturing platform in Greenville

The first plant, dedicated to assembling photovoltaic modules, was launched in April in Greenville. With an annual capacity of 3 GW, it employs 374 people in production, logistics, and quality control. The models manufactured at the site include the Gamma Series™ monofacial and Vega Series™ bifacial modules.

A second site, currently under construction and also located in Greenville, will begin producing high-performance monocrystalline solar cells in 2026. It will employ more than 900 workers and will complement Boviet Solar’s local manufacturing offerings, creating an integrated industrial complex with a combined capacity of 6 GW.

Record deliveries and utility-scale contracts

With 9.2 GW of solar modules delivered to the United States since its inception, Boviet Solar confirms the strategic importance of this market for its growth. In 2025, the company provided all the modules for the Hornet Solar Project, a 745 MW project developed by Vesper Energy, delivered in a single operational phase.

The company also expanded its customer base in the utility-scale solar segment, securing new contracts with developers, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) companies, and independent power producers (IPPs), further strengthening its position as a preferred supplier in the U.S. market.

Financial recognition and operational stability

Boviet Solar maintained its Tier 1 manufacturer status with Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) for the eighth consecutive year. The company was also ranked by Wood Mackenzie, Sinovoltaics, and PV ModuleTech in 2025 as one of the most financially stable photovoltaic module manufacturers.

All of its products are based on P-Type and N-Type technologies, designed to optimize energy yields and reduce electricity production costs. Since 2019, they have been recognized as Top Performers in Kiwa PVEL’s annual reliability scorecard.
