Cavendish Hydrogen ASA has secured a contract worth approximately EUR1.3mn ($1.38mn) from PAK-PCE Stacje H2 Sp. z o.o., a subsidiary of the Polsat Plus capital group, to upgrade a hydrogen refuelling station in Rybnik, southern Poland. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of the first quarter of 2026 and includes the supply of equipment as well as installation and commissioning services.
Increased capacity to support municipal bus fleet
The Rybnik station, operational since the third quarter of 2023, has already refuelled over 7,500 vehicles and dispensed more than 100,000 kilograms of hydrogen. With the recent addition of 11 Neso buses to the city’s public transport fleet, the station’s capacity requires a substantial upgrade. The modernisation will include an additional module and a new dispenser.
Following the upgrade, the station will become one of the largest hydrogen refuelling facilities in Europe. The objective is to provide consistent fuel supply for a fleet of more than 30 buses, reinforcing the station’s role in the local transit infrastructure.
Industrial partnership strengthens in Polish market
The collaboration between Cavendish Hydrogen and PAK-PCE H2 Stations began with the initial development of Poland’s hydrogen station network, which currently includes six operational sites. This new contract reflects the ongoing relationship between the two companies within the Polish market.
The Rybnik expansion comes amid a gradual scale-up of urban hydrogen refuelling infrastructure. Poland remains a strategic market for Cavendish, which aims to strengthen its industrial presence through turnkey deployment solutions.
