Sunly and the Alseva Group have signed an agreement for the construction of a solar park in Barkava, in the Madona region of Latvia. This will be Sunly’s first solar park in Latvia. Construction is due to start later this year, while commissioning is scheduled for early 2024.

Construction to start this year, commissioning in early 2024

Construction of the solar park in Barkava will begin later this year, marking a significant step forward in the project. The wind farm will have a capacity of 10.8 MW and will contribute to the region’s renewable energy supply. The Barkava solar park is scheduled to be operational in early 2024, making a tangible contribution to green energy production in the Madona region.

Alseva targets the Baltic market

For Alseva, this project marks the beginning of their exploration of foreign markets, in particular the Baltic one. Although they have already been operating in Poland for almost ten years, the Baltic market is a strategic target for the Group. As a producer of renewable energy, Sunly extends its activities beyond national borders. The acquisition of Alseva Group and the collaboration on the construction of this solar park in Latvia are further evidence of the company’s international expansion.
