In Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India, Adani Green Energy announced the commissioning of a hybrid wind-solar power plant.

A third hybrid plant

In Jaisalmer, Adani Green Energy, the renewable energy branch of the Adani Group, is making its third hybrid wind-solar power plant operational. The combined operational capacity of this hybrid plant is 450MW. In addition, the plant has power purchase agreements (PPA) with SECI at Rs 2.67/kwh for 25 years.

This new hybrid power plant in Jaisalmer has 420MW of solar energy. In addition, it generates 105 MW of wind power. With this hybrid power plant, Adani Green Energy has the largest operational hybrid power generation capacity of 1440MW.

Increase in capacity

Earlier, in May 2022, Adani Green Energy commissioned India’s first 390MW hybrid plant. In addition, in September 2022, the company made the world’s largest co-located 600MW hybrid power plant operational. In addition, these two hybrid power generation assets are located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

With the successful commissioning of this 450MW plant Adani Green Energy increases its total operational production capacity. Indeed, the company now has a total operational generation capacity of approximately 7.17GW. In addition, Adani Solar Energy Jaisalmer One Private Ltd. is hosting the new hybrid plant.
