IDEX and VOLTEC Solar: Two Players Committed to a Green Solar Sector

Since 2020, when its Low Carbon Building (BBC) business was created, Idex has been working with VOLTEC Solar to supply French solar panels. This partnership enables us to offer our customers turnkey IRVE (Infrastructures de Recharge pour Véhicules Électriques) installations and photovoltaic power plants. Idex is very satisfied with the solar panels produced by French specialist VOLTEC Solar, and has just received the first of 15,000 TARKA photovoltaic modules (6 MWp) to equip solar power plants based on a range of top-quality, predominantly European components.

Made in France in force The IDEX BBC division offers turnkey solutions by designing, building, financing and operating solar photovoltaic installations for commercial and industrial use, which can include IRVE terminals, thus creating a virtuous energy circle. In fact, the renewable electricity produced is made available directly to IDEX customers on site, coupled with electric mobility, energy management and carbon footprint reduction solutions. 9 Safran group sites in France will benefit from customized photovoltaic shade systems equipped with solar panels manufactured by the French company VOLTEC Solar, at its Dinsheim-sur-Bruche plant in Alsace.

They meet the quality standards set by IDEX, and benefit from an exceptionally low carbon footprint and a complete life-cycle analysis. Through this partnership, and backed by a shared vision, IDEX and VOLTEC Solar are committed to consolidating and developing a truly virtuous, low-carbon European and French photovoltaic solar energy industry. An offer that meets customers’ expectations in terms of French production or short distribution channels, for example. The 2 companies are certified by EcoVadis for their commitment and continuous improvement on various CSR indicators.

According to Emmanuel Voinier, IDEX’s deputy director of Bâtiment Bas Carbone and director of operations, “The operational excellence that we impose on ourselves is based on supplies and services of the highest quality. Our other strength lies in proximity, firstly with our suppliers to guarantee short logistics lines, which in turn reduce carbon emissions from the manufacturing and transport of our facilities. We are also close to our customers, thanks to our network of more than 100 branches across the country, ensuring a permanent presence and a high level of responsiveness… A virtuous and sustainable “made in France”.

According to Jean-François Bessaguet, Sales Director at VOLTEC Solar, “This partnership with IDEX confirms our know-how in terms of performance in the design and industrial manufacture of photovoltaic panels. It demonstrates our ability to produce large volumes of modules in France and in short circuits (production has increased by a factor of 10 in 10 years). Collectively, we need to pursue our commitments to CSR indicators and move towards a virtuous cycle to maximize the level of circularity…”.

IDEX: Pioneers in Local and Decarbonized Energy since 1963

Founded in France in 1963, the IDEX Group, with over 6,100 employees, develops, designs, finances, builds and operates local, low-carbon energy infrastructures for the supply of local, low-carbon heat and power for buildings, cities & industry. With sales of €2 billion by 2022, IDEX is the only vertically integrated operator in the local energy market today, covering the entire value chain.

It is involved from the production of thermal or electrical energy from local, low-carbon energy resources (waste, biomass, geothermal, solar), through the distribution of this energy via heating and cooling networks, to the optimization of its end use in industrial, residential and tertiary buildings.

About VOLTEC Solar Since 2010, VOLTEC Solar, a French manufacturer of photovoltaic modules, has been offering a range of high-efficiency solar panels with extensive warranties, in glass/backsheet or bifacial biverre technology. Design and manufacture in France, in Alsace, offer our customers a high quality of service and the possibility of choosing panels with a low carbon footprint, for their projects, whether they are intended for the sale or self-consumption of solar energy.
