H2G Green Limited has announced the commissioning of one of its largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities to date, delivered by its subsidiary GasHubUnited Utility Private Limited. The project was developed for a beverage manufacturer operating in Singapore, which will now use LNG instead of diesel for its thermal production needs.
The conversion was fully managed by GasHub, from technical design to the initial LNG delivery. This development enables the site to begin operations with a new fuel source, aimed at ensuring more stable performance and reduced exposure to fluctuations in petroleum markets.
New milestone for industrial LNG in Singapore
The food production site is now one of the largest LNG consumers among GasHub’s clients. The switch to LNG is expected to reduce the site’s carbon footprint by approximately 30%, while enhancing the thermal efficiency of its industrial equipment.
Unlike diesel, LNG combustion leaves no solid residues, reducing cleaning requirements and maintenance costs for the boilers. This technical feature supports extended equipment life and fewer operational downtimes.
Local expertise in energy conversion
The project was selected due to GasHub’s ability to design and build customised energy infrastructure. The site has been modified to include storage facilities, vaporisation systems and safety devices aligned with industrial standards.
GasHub’s management stated that this type of project represents a growing opportunity for Singapore’s manufacturing sector, which is often less prioritised than electricity generation in energy planning. The company expects increasing LNG demand from industries with high thermal consumption.
