Envision Energy, a company specializing in energy technologies, has entered into a strategic agreement with Samruk Energy and Kazakhstan Utility Systems to establish a factory for wind turbines and energy storage systems in Kazakhstan. This project, based in Astana, seeks to meet the growing demand for renewable energy and reduce import costs.

A focus on industrial localization

The project aims to locally produce equipment needed for the development of wind energy and energy storage systems. This approach seeks to address domestic demand while cutting logistics costs and improving the efficiency of the supply chain. According to representatives of the stakeholders, this plant will also play a pivotal role in enhancing the country’s energy independence.

Envision Energy will provide its expertise in designing and operating advanced wind turbines. These systems will be optimized to ensure stable operations and meet the specific needs of the local energy grid.

Economic benefits for Kazakhstan

In addition to local equipment production, this initiative is expected to create economic opportunities for Kazakhstan. Hundreds of direct and indirect jobs are anticipated, particularly in the manufacturing and maintenance sectors. The partnership with Samruk Energy and Kazakhstan Utility Systems also includes training programs for local technicians, enhancing the country’s industrial skills base.

The leaders involved highlighted the importance of this industrial localization effort in attracting further investments in renewable energy and diversifying Kazakhstan’s economic activities.

A strategic partnership for stakeholders

Samruk Energy and Kazakhstan Utility Systems will play a key role in implementing the project, collaborating with Envision Energy on areas such as plant construction, local material procurement, and logistics. Sabyrgali Idrisov, CEO of Kazakhstan Utility Systems, stated that this partnership marks “a turning point for the national industry” by promoting advanced technical solutions while supporting local production.
