Enstall expands in Germany

Enstall, a global specialist in rooftop solar mounting solutions, announces the acquisition of Schletter Group, a German company renowned for its solar mounting systems.
This acquisition strengthens Enstall’s market position in Germany and Central Europe.
Schletter, founded in 1968 and based in Kirchdorf, has installed over 55 GW of solar systems worldwide.

Strategic expansion in Europe

The integration of Schletter into Enstall’s portfolio aims to consolidate Enstall’s presence in Germany, Europe’s largest solar market.
This move is in line with Enstall’s ongoing growth strategy, following the acquisition of Sunfer in 2023.
The capabilities offered by Schletter will enable Enstall to expand its product offering, from roof-mounted to ground-mounted systems, and strengthen its positions in the European market.

Partnership with Avenue Capital and Robus Capital

Avenue Capital Group and Robus Capital, shareholders of Schletter, become minority shareholders of Enstall.
Their entry into Enstall’s capital is accompanied by long-term strategic support, in collaboration with Enstall’s historical investors, Blackstone and Rivean Capital.
Stijn Vos, CEO of Enstall, expresses his enthusiasm about the integration of Schletter’s teams, underlining the complementary expertise of the two companies to accelerate the adoption of solar energy.

Prospects for Innovation and Expansion

Schletter CEO Florian Roos emphasizes that the merger will combine the innovative strengths of both companies, offering an expanded range of digital products and solutions to an international customer base.
This partnership aims to strengthen innovation capabilities and expand product offerings, in response to the growing demand for renewable energy solutions.

Market Impact and Future Prospects

Enstall’s acquisition of Schletter is also an indicator of the company’s continued momentum in executing its growth strategy.
According to Juergen Pinker of Blackstone and Maurits Boomsma of Rivean Capital, this transaction gives Enstall a solid position in the ground-mounted solar segment, while continuing to strengthen its presence in the European market.
The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2024 or early 2025, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
Enstall’s acquisition of Schletter marks a major strategic step forward in the company’s international development.
By strengthening its presence in Germany and expanding its product portfolio, Enstall is positioning itself as a key player in the solar mounting solutions sector.
This move illustrates Enstall’s ongoing commitment to driving innovation and meeting the growing demand for renewable energy solutions in the global marketplace.
