Enel buys gas from Sonatrach

In this context, Enel, an Italian group, signed agreements with Sonatrach. These concern the supply of natural gas. The two companies have agreed to increase gas volumes in 2022.

In addition, Sonatrach could increase volumes over the next few years. Also, Enel and Sonatrach agree on an adjustment of the selling price. The latter then takes into account the current market conditions.

Italy is getting closer to Italy

In fact, Algeria is favored by Europe. In early September, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, praised Algeria. He then declared:

“We see in Algeria a reliable, loyal partner, committed to the field of this cooperation in energy.”

Italy is not the only state interested in Algerian gas. However, with this agreement, Enel and Sonatrach strengthen their long-standing partnership in a particularly tense context. The two companies are consolidating their commercial relations in the natural gas sector.
