Comet Lithium Corporation has confirmed the launch of an exploration programme at its Triple L and Elmer East properties, located in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Québec. The work will begin on June 13 and span 17 days. The initiative aims to investigate targets identified through geophysical surveys and satellite imagery, with potential for copper, nickel and lithium mineralisation.

Structured operations across 35 priority lines

The exploration will be conducted in collaboration with Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd., a firm specialising in geoscientific services. Two field teams will carry out traverses, cartographic surveys and sampling across 35 designated lines. The targets were selected based on the results of high-resolution magnetic (MAG) and time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) surveys conducted in 2024, supported by satellite data.

At the Triple L property, the team will use a Beep Mat, a portable electromagnetic instrument capable of detecting conductive bodies up to three metres underground. This technology is intended to precisely locate areas with potential copper and nickel mineralisation. The high-interest zones, outlined in red, will be subject to targeted ground investigation, although data remains at an early exploratory stage.

Lithium indicators identified at Elmer East

At the Elmer East property, targets were defined using satellite analysis aimed at identifying rock outcrops potentially containing spodumene-bearing pegmatites. These formations are recognised for their lithium potential. Several outcrops have been identified in the southern block of the property and will be examined on site by the deployed teams.

The programme’s goal is to build a structured technical dataset to assess the geological interest of the sites and guide future exploration phases. No drilling is scheduled at this stage. The findings will inform decisions on further development steps.

Direct oversight by technical management

The programme will be supervised by Vincent Cardin-Tremblay, Vice President of Exploration at Comet Lithium and a registered professional geologist in Québec and Ontario. He will take part directly in field activities. As a qualified person under National Instrument 43‑101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects, he has validated the technical data disclosed by the company.

Both properties are 100% owned by Comet Lithium, which continues to advance its exploration efforts in the strategic metals sector in northern Québec.
