Azure Power signs with SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India) the largest ever PPA for 2333 MW ofsolar power capacity connected to the ISTS (InterState Transmission System).

Azure Power ramps up large-scale projects in India

This PPA follows the award of another 600 MW project in the same tender, aimed at creating 4 GW of photovoltaic capacity connected to the ISTS.
In addition, the Indian independent power producer announces the award of a letter of award for its second 200 MW wind-solar hybrid project.

Multi-phase development

The projects developed will supply electricity for 25 years at a fixed tariff of INR 2.42/kWh.
They will be built in India’s sunniest state, Rajasthan.
Land acquisition is underway.
Connectivity approval has already been obtained.
The projects will be commissioned in phases: 1 GW by November 2024, 1 GW by November 2025 and 333 MW by November 2026.

A 200 MW wind-solar project

The letter of award obtained by Azure Power also secures the signature of a PPA with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co.
Limited (MSEDCL).
It concerns a 200 MW hybrid wind/photovoltaic project that will supply electricity for 25 years at a fixed tariff of INR 2.62/kWh.
The project comprises a 133 MW solar component to be located in the state of Rajasthan, and a 67 MW wind component to be installed in Maharashtra.
These capacities will be installed within 18 months of the signature of the PPA.
