Atura Power selects Cummins to manufacture the electrolyzer system for its Niagara Hydrogen Center in Niagara Falls, Ontario. This will be the first 20MW renewable hydrogen facility in the state.
An operational center in 2024
Atura Power announces that Cummins will manufacture the Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysis system at its Mississauga facility. The electrolysis system will be the centerpiece of the company’s Niagara Hydrogen Center. Thus, hydrogen will supply industrial customers for immediate consumption.
The renewable hydrogen will mix with the fuel stream at Atura Power’s Halton Hills Generating Station creating clean electricity for Ontario. In addition, detailed design work and system integration are underway. As a result, Niagara Hydrogen Center would be operational by early 2024.
