Arevon relies on Nextracker for its upcoming 1.5 GW portfolio of solar projects in Nevada and Indiana.
The solar technology leader will supply NX Horizon™intelligent solar trackers with TrueCapture™and NX Navigator™software and control systems.

Arevon develops projects in Nevada and Indiana

Renewable energy company Arevon Energy is on the verge of finalizing its solar portfolio of seven projects.
Indiana will host five of these solar power plants: Elliott (200 MW), Gibson (280 MW), Ratts 1 and Ratts 2 (both 150 MW) and Posey (300 MW).
The 250 MW Citadel project will be located outside Reno, Nevada.
Finally, the seventh site in the portfolio, the 232 MW Townsite power plant in Boulder City, Nevada, has already been visited by U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm.
The entire portfolio is scheduled to come on stream by the end of 2023.

Nextracker, a trusted partner

For its projects, Arevon has chosen Nextracker, to supply its NX Horizon™ intelligent solar trackers with TrueCapture™ and NX Navigator™ software and control systems for advanced monitoring, control and asset management.
Arevon Executive Vice President and COO Justin Johnson is confident.
“We’ve already seen Nextracker’s TrueCapture software increase energy gains by 2.72% in one of the solar projects we service, so we have first-hand experience of this innovative solution and how it can add value to every project in the portfolio.”

Standardizing tracker technology for greater efficiency

Standardizing tracker technology and software across multiple renewable energy project sites increases overall portfolio efficiency.
This, while mitigating risk and reducing the potential for failure.
For Ryan Booth, Nextracker’s Vice President of Utility Sales, in view of the sector’s growing competitiveness, the future of solar depends on this standardization of systems.
What’s more, Arevon’s coveted technologies offer other advantages.
Arevon’s TrueCapture software license will increase electricity production, and NX Navigator ‘s monitoring and control system will actively minimize the risks associated with the increasingly frequent extreme weather conditions.

Projects essential to the States

The Solar Energy Industries Association estimates that nearly 5 GW ofsolar power will be installed in Indiana over the next five years.
In Nevada, a further 4 GW is expected.
Both states are experiencing significant solar growth, ranking sixth and seventh respectively in terms of solar capacity.
Arevon’s seven projects, totaling over 1.5 GW, are key to the energy goals set by the states.
Nextracker and Arevon are thus carving out an even more important place for themselves in the US renewable energy sector.
