After signing a major agreement with China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Arctech, a key player in solar technologies, has reached a new milestone with the delivery of 2.3 GW of SkyLine II solar trackers for the PIF4-Haden project of ACWA Power in Saudi Arabia.

Technology and Resilience in Harsh Weather Conditions

Located in a desert region often subjected to strong winds, the PIF4-Haden project benefits from the advanced technology of SkyLine II. The 1P solar tracking system is equipped with a multi-point synchronization mechanism that allows securing the solar panels when wind speeds reach 22 m/s. This feature not only ensures the system’s stability but also improves the overall energy production over the long term.

Optimizing Efficiency and Reducing Costs

SkyLine II is designed to maximize land use efficiency through its modular structure. This modular design allows for greater flexibility in panel installation, thereby reducing the costs of solar plant installations. This technological advancement meets the demands of the PIF4-Haden project, which is part of the “Saudi Vision 2030” initiative, a strategic plan aimed at diversifying Saudi Arabia’s economy and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.

Contribution to Vision 2030

The project is expected to become commercially operational in 2027 and produce around 156.189 billion kilowatt-hours over 25 years, which corresponds to a reduction of nearly 147 million tons of CO2 emissions. With offices in Dubai and Riyadh, as well as a manufacturing base in Jeddah, Arctech is fully committed to this energy transition by providing tailored and comprehensive services for the Middle East and Africa region.
