Adapture Renewables, a subsidiary of the Danish company Kirkbi, acquires the Rippey Solar park from Q Cells USA Corporation.
The company is thus expanding its solar activities in the United States, where it has already installed 239 MW, including 95 MW in Texas alone.

81 MW in Cooke County, Texas, adding to the company’s portfolio ofsolar power assets.
These total 239 MW across the country, including 95 MW in Texas.

A technologically innovative project

Q Cells acquired the project in mid-development.
The company succeeded in completing the work ahead of schedule, in 2020.
The company is now equipped with high-performance models based on a combination of innovative cell technologies.
Despite a difficult period due to Covid-19, Donald Miller, Chief Environmental Officer at Adapture Renewables, notes a remarkable merger: ”

The Q CELLS team delivered a first-class installation with the Rippey project, and we look forward to our new role as long-term neighbors, providing renewable energy to Texas consumers.

In short, the merger of these two companies enables a renewal of renewable energy in Texas.
The state is in the midst of an energy transition, and many international companies are setting up operations here to develop solar power, as well aswind power.
