SPIE turns to sustainable development

A strong rebound in the second half of 2020

The time has come for SPIE to take stock of its results for the year 2020. The report points to a strong rebound in the second half of 2020.

Indeed, the tightening of health protection measures has not prevented the giant from imposing itself on the market. It also announces an organic decline in production limited to -1.4%. As a result, the Group notes a decline in EBITA margin limited to -20 basis points in the second half of 2020.

Highly resilient throughout the health crisis

In this sense, these results testify to a remarkable resilience throughout the health crisis. Production results, among others, attest to its strength with €6.64 billion, down a limited -4.7% on 2019, of which -5.0% on an organic basis. Net debt also fell sharply, by €324 million over 12 months.

Reduce carbon footprint by 25% by 2025

The French company also reaffirms its reinforced commitment to sustainable development. As a result, it is committed to reducing the Group’s direct carbon footprint by 25% by 2025. Lastly, it already confirms that the green share of production will rise to 41% by 2020.
