7C Solarparken acquires a new project in Bavaria

The German company’s investment in a 20 MW solar project in Draisdorf-Eggenbach brings it a step closer to its objectives.
For Managing Director Steven De Proost, the aim is to reach a capacity of 400 MW by the end of 2022.
What’s more, if asset management is added, the target rises to 500 MW by 2022.

The largest solar project in its history

IBC Solar is the company behind this solar project, with components from URE and Sungrow.
The feed-in tariff for this project is €51/MWh, but the price could rise in the long term.
Indeed, current forward prices for 2022 exceed the €100/MWh threshold.
However, with strong buyer demand and price volatility, the fear of a price lock-in looms large.
Nevertheless, given the situation in Bavaria, this project should generate more than 1050 kWh/year.
For Steven De Proost, this project will enable the company to become a major solar player in Europe.
