VSB France, an independent producer of renewable electricity, has commissioned the Grange Neuve wind farm at Lazenay and Cerbois in the Cher department. Comprising three Nordex N149 wind turbines, this new wind farm adds 9 MW of capacity, bringing VSB France’s total capacity in the Centre-Val de Loire region to 69 MW.
The Grange Neuve wind farm joins the Civray, Greneville, Les 3 Ormes and Mareuil wind farms, forming a robust portfolio of 28 wind turbines in the region. All these facilities are managed by local VSB France teams, ensuring optimal monitoring and operation. In this way, the project strengthens the role of wind power in the French energy mix. Indeed, wind farm projects are multiplying across the country, as in the case of the Langrois wind farm in eastern France.

Infrastructure and Connectivity

The commissioning of Grange Neuve is accompanied by its connection to the region’s first source substation dedicated exclusively to renewable energies. This infrastructure enhances the integration of wind power into the electricity grid, improving the stability and reliability of supply.
Maël Lagarde, Managing Director of VSB France, said: “The Grange Neuve park is the fruit of close collaboration with local elected representatives and communities, demonstrating our ability to carry out large-scale projects while respecting local expectations.

Outlook and Growth Strategy

With the commissioning of Grange Neuve, VSB France continues to expand its portfolio of renewable assets. The company now manages over 600 MW of wind and solar power assets in France. This strategy of increasing renewable generation capacity meets growing demand and is in line with national energy transition objectives.
Felix Grolman, CEO of the VSB Group, added: “The commissioning of Grange Neuve strengthens our market position and our commitment to developing sustainable energy solutions. Each new project contributes to our expertise and our role in achieving national and European energy objectives.”
