In the U.S., Arevon secures a supply of over 2GWdc of First Solar’s Series 7 PV modules.
Favorable legislation
In the U.S., the purchase of Arevon from First Solar, includes 700MWdc of total volume in purchase order before earnings. As such, these deliveries will facilitate projects under development in the Midwest and Southwest. Justin Johnson, Arevon’s Chief Operating Officer, states:
“Arevon is at the forefront of powering the energy transition through the development of our nationwide solar pipeline. These orders solidify Arevon’s competitive advantage while ensuring we can deliver innovative solutions to our customers.”
Nationally, the demand for solar is increasing dramatically. One forecast estimates that the U.S. is experiencing its strongest quarter-over-quarter growth ever. Recent legislation, allows the country to win 10GWAC of new utility-scale solar capacity contracts.
American technology
First Solar develops advanced thin-film photovoltaic modules at its R&D centers in California and Ohio. They set industry benchmarks for quality, durability, reliability, design and environmental performance. These modules have the smallest carbon and water footprint of any photovoltaic technology available on the market.
These are the modules that will support the project pipeline of the American company until 2027. These solar modules help secure supply in the United States by mitigating the risk of shortages. They offer higher efficiency, increased installation speed and superior energy performance.
