The company specializing in solar park development has signed several land agreements to secure sites for the construction of new photovoltaic installations. These parks will be primarily located in central Sweden, with some sites in the southern Norrland region.
An energy capacity equivalent to half a nuclear power plant
The combined projects represent a total estimated capacity of 500 megawatts (MW), equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 40,000 households. The sites were chosen based on their proximity to grid infrastructure and the potential to minimize land-use conflicts.
A project representative highlighted the importance of these agreements for expanding solar production in Sweden, emphasizing the optimization of selected locations to ensure efficient integration into the electrical grid.
Construction set to begin in 2026
The construction of the first solar park is scheduled to begin in 2026, with a goal of gradual commissioning before 2030. The company already has experience operating similar sites, with a 6 MW solar park set to become operational in April.
These new projects align with efforts to increase solar power generation at the national level, leveraging existing infrastructure to facilitate grid connection.
