Sunsure Energy has entered into a strategic agreement with Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL) for the supply of 19.36 MW of hybrid energy combining solar and wind sources. The long-term contract covers 8.86 MW (13.29 MWp) of solar power and 10.5 MW of wind power, designated for the DFPCL production site located in Raigad, Maharashtra.
A hybrid model for continuous generation
The energy will be generated from two Sunsure Energy sites: the solar power plant in Dhule and the wind farm in Jath, both located in Maharashtra. This hybrid configuration ensures a steady energy flow throughout the day, providing operational stability for DFPCL’s industrial activities. The project is expected to generate approximately 55 mn kWh of electricity annually, contributing to a reduction of more than 40,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
According to Sunsure Energy, this model can meet up to 60% of the electricity demand of industrial consumers without relying on the energy banking system. For the company, this agreement confirms its ability to deliver continuous energy solutions tailored to the complex needs of the Indian industrial sector.
An alliance serving industrial performance
Deepak Fertilisers, a major producer of fertilisers and industrial-use chemicals, is relying on this agreement to secure its energy supply while reducing dependence on the grid. The partnership is expected to strengthen production stability at the strategic Raigad site, which represents a significant share of the group’s manufacturing capacity.
For Sunsure Energy, Maharashtra is a key market in its development strategy, due to the high concentration of industrial players and a growing demand for reliable and competitive energy solutions. This agreement with DFPCL reflects the ongoing consolidation of energy partnerships in India’s manufacturing sector.
