Chinese manufacturer Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. has signed a contract to deliver 835 MW of photovoltaic inverters to Juniper Green Energy, an independent renewable power producer based in India. The deal involves the provision of advanced technologies for multiple solar projects located in the states of Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
Technical deployment across five strategic projects
According to the announcement released on May 15 by Sungrow, the SG320HX-20 (300 kW) and SG4400UD-20 (4.4 MW) inverters will be installed at five sites: Chappalgaon, Karanja, and Jalkot in Maharashtra, as well as Fatehgarh and Bhadla in Rajasthan. These regions were selected due to their high solar potential and connectivity to the national power grid.
The supplied products feature energy conversion efficiency of up to 99%, with multiple maximum power point tracking functions. This enables installations to maintain optimal performance under variable climatic conditions. The 4.4 MW central inverter models are also designed to sustain full output at temperatures of up to 51°C, which is critical for operation in India’s extreme environments.
Targeting 10 GW of installed capacity by 2030
Juniper Green Energy is aiming for a total installed capacity of 10 GW by 2030. The company operates a portfolio of solar, wind, and hybrid power projects. This new partnership with Sungrow supports that goal by enhancing the reliability and stability of its production infrastructure.
Sungrow, meanwhile, is expanding its footprint in the Indian market, one of the fastest-growing in the global photovoltaic sector. “This 835 MW partnership with Juniper Green Energy reflects trust in our innovations and our ability to deliver at scale,” said Sunil Badesra, Country Head of Sungrow India.
