SPIE Oil & Gas Services has signed a five-year contract to maintain all of TotalEnergies’ offshore facilities in Denmark. In fact, this company, an international subsidiary of SPIE, is one of the leaders in multi-technical services in the energy sector.

SPIE wins TotalEnergies’ tender

This contract is for a period of five years, with an option to renew for two additional two-year periods. Thus, from method to preparation, more than 40 onshore and offshore disciplines will be represented. In order to carry out this contract, SPIE Oil & Gas Services is setting up in Denmark.

In addition, to respond to the call for tenders, the SPIE subsidiary joined forces with NorSea to form the NorSPIE consortium. This Danish company is specialized in equipment logistics and support for offshore operations.

This partnership thus combines expertise and local roots, assets that enabled the contract to be obtained. SPIE Oil & Gas Services has more than 25 years of experience in the maintenance of offshore facilities. NorSea has a solid logistical infrastructure in the North Sea and a deep knowledge of the Danish offshore sector.

Nicolas Jeanpierre, contract manager at SPIE Oil & Gas Services, is delighted:

“We are proud to have won this significant contract from TotalEnergies, the largest player in the sector in Denmark […]. We are convinced that the combination of our respective expertise under the umbrella of the NorSPIE consortium will meet their expectations.”

A significant impact in terms of jobs

As part of the contract, some 100 TotalEnergies employees and existing contractors will be integrated into the NorSPIE team.

Claude Ranieri, Director of the Europe-North Africa Business Unit of SPIE Oil & Gas Services, announces:

“We are delighted to welcome the TotalEnergies teams to NorSPIE. Their knowledge of local technical specificities and their skills bring real added value […]. We will do our utmost to ensure that their integration is successful.”

A recruitment campaign is also underway in Denmark to complete the teams. In total, between 400 and 500 people will be mobilized.

A new stage of development

With the opening of a subsidiary in Denmark, this contract marks a new stage in SPIE Oil & Gas Services’ development in Europe.

Christophe Bernhart, Managing Director of SPIE Oil & Gas Services, is pleased with this:

“This is a great success, especially since it comes on top of other great projects won from TotalEnergies in recent months, in Angola for example. It is also our first step in Scandinavia, not only for SPIE Oil & Gas Services but also for the SPIE Group.”
