Soltec is to supply 175 MW of SFOne solar trackers to Jinko Power for a photovoltaic power plant in Antequera, in the province of Málaga, Andalusia. The project will involve the installation of 2,696 solar trackers and 301,728 photovoltaic modules. The plant will help reduce CO2 emissions by more than 98,000 tonnes a year, and produce enough energy to power more than 105,000 homes. Soltec’s SFOne tracker, in double vertical row (1P) configuration, is designed to offer high competitiveness and low height, minimizing visual impact. Delivery of the trackers is scheduled between July and October, with particular attention paid to minimizing earthworks and protecting the surrounding river area.

Strategic Partnership

This collaboration marks a strategic partnership between Soltec and Jinko Power for the realization of photovoltaic projects in Spain. Raúl Morales, CEO of Soltec, said:

“Working with Jinko Power for decarbonization in Spain is a pleasure for us. We hope this project will be the first of many.”

The project illustrates both companies’ ability to carry out large-scale projects in the solar energy sector, respecting environmental requirements and providing efficient energy solutions.

Impact and prospects

The solar power plant project in Andalusia represents a significant step forward in the development of renewable energies in Spain. As well as helping to reduce CO2 emissions, the facility will boost the country’s renewable energy production capacity, supporting national energy transition objectives. The cooperation between Soltec and Jinko Power underlines the importance of strategic partnerships in the renewable energies sector. By combining their respective expertise, these companies are in a position to meet the growing challenges of energy demand while complying with environmental standards.
