Solarpack recently inaugurated the La Union solar power plant in MonterĂ­a, Colombia. The 144-megawatt (MW) facility is now connected to the national grid, consolidating Solarpack’s presence in the region.

Investment and Development

Construction of the La Union power plant required an investment of US$100 million. This project will supply electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of over 132,000 Colombian households. Construction of the plant also generated 1,276 jobs, the vast majority of which went to local workers, thus promoting regional economic development.
