Salaries: agreement submitted for signature at GRDF, negotiations continue at Enedis

The salary negotiations in the energy distribution companies have seen contrasting developments Thursday, GRDF, the gas distributor, decided to submit a final proposal to the unions for signature, while its counterpart for electricity Enedis was to continue discussions, according to the CGT.

“We had a new and final meeting of negotiations today, since the management announced that it was making its final proposal,” Eric Gautier, CGT union coordinator for GRDF, told AFP.

According to him, the management has put on the table a proposal for a 2.3% increase for all, in addition to the increase in the national basic salary (SNB) obtained at the level of the branch, as well as a bonus of 1,000 euros in 2023 and individual measures equivalent to 2.2% of the wage bill.

The CGT wanted a collective increase of 4.6% in addition to the SNB.

“The proposals that are made are not up to the level of what we carry as claims,” said Julien Lambert, federal secretary of the FNME-CGT, while recalling that the CGT should consult its base that “will be the judge of peace.

The three other representative unions (CFDT, FO, CFE-CGC) could sign the agreement, which is subject to signature until November 18, without the CGT, the largest union but not the only one with a majority.

Contacted by the AFP, the management of GRDF did not wish to express itself before the signature of an agreement.
On the side of Enedis, “there have been advances and there is another negotiation posed Tuesday, November 8,” said Lambert.

Contacted, the company’s management did not give a date, but indicated that the discussions should continue “in the coming days”.

A continuation of the negotiations may be favored by a higher mobilization, estimated by the CGT to 50% of the workforce present at the call of an intersyndicale, against 15 to 20% of employees of GRDF, at the call of the CGT alone.

As the largest union in both companies, it is demanding a concrete increase to compensate for inflation, which would represent “at least 200 euros gross per month” for all employees of the two groups, including the increase in the national basic salary obtained at the level of the branch and the increase within the company.

GRDF employs nearly 11,500 people throughout France, while Enedis has about 38,000.
