The PNE Group has won four new onshore wind farm projects in the latest tenders organized by the Bundesnetzagentur in Germany. The “Lütau”, “Wulfsdorf”, “Willerstedt” and “Kuhstedt III” wind farms have all been awarded contracts. In Schleswig-Holstein, the Lütau wind farm will comprise 5 turbines with a total output of 28.5 MW, while the Wulfsdorf wind farm will have 7 turbines, totalling 43 MW. In Thuringia, the Willerstedt project will comprise 2 wind turbines with a capacity of 9 MW. In Lower Saxony, the Kuhstedt III wind farm will be extended with the addition of 2 wind turbines, each rated at 5.5 MW.

Annual capacity and forecasts

With these new projects, the total capacity of the PNE Group’s onshore wind farms approved in 2023 reaches 117.9 MW. All the wind farms are scheduled to go into construction or operation within the next year, strengthening PNE Group’s market position.

Financial and industrial implications

PNE Group’s success in these tenders reflects its ability to secure competitive projects in the wind energy sector. These projects will contribute to increasing wind power generation capacity in Germany, and represent a growth opportunity for the company. The development of these wind farms will also involve significant investment in construction and infrastructure, generating significant economic activity in the regions concerned.

Market analysis

PNE Group’s continued success in wind power tenders demonstrates the robustness of its development and diversification strategy. With a total approved capacity of 117.9 MW this year, PNE Group is strengthening its presence in the onshore wind market, a segment crucial to the future growth of Europe’s energy sector. This expansion is taking place against a backdrop of fierce competition, where technological innovation and project efficiency are key success factors. PNE Group’s ability to secure these projects underlines its leading role in the sector.
