PNE AG, a leading provider of clean energy solutions, recently announced the commissioning of a new wind farm in Mansbach, Hesse, Germany.

Nordex N 149 wind turbine installation

The company continues to expand its own power generation portfolio by installing five Nordex N 149 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 28.5 megawatts (MW). This green energy is capable of providing electricity to approximately 13,400 four-person households and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 25,800 tons per year.

As an independent energy producer, PNE AG is committed to increasing the number of wind farms it operates itself. According to Markus Lesser, CEO of PNE AG: “Our goal is to continuously increase the number of wind farms we operate as an independent energy producer. By the end of 2027, wind farms and photovoltaic plants with a capacity of 1,500 MW/MWp should be in operation or under construction.

Important step towards the achievement of PNE AG’s objectives

With the addition of the Mansbach wind farm, the total capacity of the wind farms operated by PNE AG increases to 349.5 MW. This expansion is an important step toward achieving the company’s ambitious goals of increasing its own power generation portfolio and reducing carbon emissions.
