Nordex will supply and install 10 N149/4.X turbines for a wind farm in Croatia and provide premium service. The German company will maintain the turbines for the next 20 years. The project provides for the possibility of extending the service for 10 years.
Two wind farms in Croatia
Nordex is installing a wind farm with a nominal installed capacity of 50MW. It is under construction in the commune of Gracac. The company will begin installation of its turbines in the summer of 2023 for commissioning at the end of the year.
This is the second Nordex project in Croatia this year. Indeed, in February 2022, the German company received an order for 25 turbines with a total rated power of 137MW. The selected site is located near the Dalmatian coast.
Croatia is a regular partner of the group. The Nordex group delivered turbines for a power of 312MW in Croatia. These two orders bring the group’s turbine capacity to around 500MW.
Orders on the rise
The third quarter of this year is particularly productive. The Nordex group received orders for 227 wind turbines with a total rated capacity of 1441MW. As a result, the average selling price in euros per megawatt increases to €0.90 million.
José Luis Blanco, CEO of Nordex Group, states:
“We achieved a solid order intake in the third quarter in a challenging environment. Against this backdrop, demand for our products, particularly our N163/5.X turbine, proved quite robust in our established markets in Europe and Latin America, despite rising turbine prices.”
In total, Nordex is receiving orders for wind farms in eleven countries. The group’s main partner countries are Brazil, Germany, Finland, Poland andSpain.
