Nicaragua’s Ministry of Energy and Mines has launched an international tender for the drilling of deep wells in the geothermal zone of the Cosigüina volcano. The tender is aimed at attracting specialist companies to exploit the region’s geothermal potential, with a submission deadline of August 19, 2024. Bids must be accompanied by a “Declaration of Maintenance of Offer” and electronic bids will not be accepted. Proposals will be opened in the presence of representatives of the bidding companies on August 19, 2024.
