MacIntyre, ACCIONA Energía’s onshore wind farm will supply renewable electricity to Stanwell Corporation under a PPA.

A 15-year agreement

ACCIONA Energía started the construction of the largest wind power complex in the Southern Hemisphere at the end of last spring. The project has a total capacity of 1026MW, equivalent to the consumption of 700,000 homes. ACCIONA Energía owns 70% of the MacIntyre facility and Ark Energy owns the remaining 30%.

A heavy investment

This PPA follows another agreement between ACCIONA Energía and CleanCo for 400MW. The contract also covers the MacIntyre wind farm. In addition, CleanCo will own and operate the 108MW Karara Wind Farm in the MacIntyre Wind District.
